FLOTSAM & JETSAM: Debris from an Unconstrained Mind
Having extricated myself from the messy but lucrative world of clients, funding agencies, and even the professional peer group that I once was a part of, I’m gloriously isolated and broke, and there is nothing to hold me back anymore.
While I no longer get invitations to talk or present, and few of my erstwhile peers even favor me with a card or call, I’m going through the most creative phase of my life. Literally, I’m bursting with the kind of ideas that I’ve pushed away from my mind for the past three decades because of my total commitment to professional consensus, building diversity, and conflict management.
Flotsam refers to the wreckage that stays afloat after a ship sinks. Jetsam refers to stuff that is thrown overboard to lighten the load on a ship in danger of sinking. Together, they refer to the debris in the water that comes from ships.
On this page, I will be sharing the debris that didn’t go down with the ship. Here you will find a random collection of my videos, spoken word, and any other kind of work that might pass out of my skull and onto a page, screen, or stage.
